my bestie, melissa, received a wonderful new granddaughter last week, so of course, i had to make her a little something. this bib is a combination of patterns. the bib pattern is from one rockin mamma’s e tsy shop and the “pink is my signature color” machine embroidery design is from designs by julu. i will be making more bibs, with different designs and placing them in my new esty shop …be sure to stop by and check them out. until next time, posted on january 5, 2018 welcome have you ever wanted something, but didn’t really know how to do it? well that’s me…right here , right now. i’ve dreamed of having a blog. in my mind, i’ve spent hours writing post, shooting pictures, and dreaming about how my blog would look, what i’d write about, pictures i’d put in the post, etc. but i am not a techy person. honestly, i’m doing good just to get this far without any help. but i did …i made it this far. i’m writing my very first post on my very own blog… i guess i really should introduce myself. i’m sue. i’m 52 years old and i’m a single woman who has grown children (3 sons) who are all happily married. i have 2 amazing and beautiful grandchildren, whom i’m sure you will hear more about as time passes. my whole entire life, or at lease as far back as i can remember, crafting of some sort, has always been a part of my world. i can remember playing under the old wooden quilting frame that was set up in our living room with my younger sister and my cousins on sunday afternoons, as my mother and my aunt’s hand quilted a quilt above us. i can remember visiting my aunt’s and watching them crocheting, or hand stitching beautiful doilies and table scarves. so i guess that’s where my love of crafting began. i learned to crochet as a teenager. i remember making finger crochet chains and wearing them as bracelets and necklaces. i remember doing long stitch embroidery pillows with my families names on them and giving them as christmas gifts. i’ve went through phases: crochet, cross stitch, plastic canvas, knitting, sewing clothes, sewing household decor items, and piecing quilts. the funny thing about those phases however is that i never really quite doing one craft when i started another…i kind of do them all… which means yes, i have lots of starts but not a lot of finishes…in other words, i have a lot of wips (works in progress). so now i’ve added one more hobby to the mix…blogging. i want this blog however to be an extension of my crafting. here in this blog i plan to talk about whatever craft i’m captivated by on the day that i’m typing my post. so one day you might get a post on sewing pillowcases, and the next day the post might be about a new exciting knitting project that has caught my eye (and my yarn and needles). but i won’t be using this as a craft only blog. i also will be including post on life in general. thus the name life on the cross roads. i firmly believe that our lives are made up of millions of cross roads. we have some many choices to make, so many roads to take. some of the roads take us to happy wonderful places that fill our lives with great memories and love, but some of the roads have a lot of pot holes and rough patches and they lead us to heartache, despair, and depression. i have been down all of the above. i’ve had some great times in my life, but i’ve had some real hard times also. so this blog will be a journey… together you, as my readers, and i will travel down life’s road and see what kind of cross roads we can find, but of course we will stop at yarn shops, and quilt shops along the way…… so come along and join me… search for: search recent posts cutest thing ever….. dollar tree pouch burp……oh excuse me little buck finally launched !!!! archives april 2018 january 2018 subscribe to blog via email enter your email address to subscribe to this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email. join 143 other subscribers email address cross roads stitching cross roads stitching proudly powered by wordpress
